On July 9, 2025, the Volkswagen Group released its delivery figures for the first half of the year. The data revealed a significant increase in all-electric vehicle deliveries worldwide, with growth in South America (+18 percent), Western Europe (+1 percent), and Central and Eastern Europe (+9 percent) offsetting declines in China (-2 percent) and North America (-7 percent).

The global share of battery electric vehicles (BEV) rose from 7 to 11 percent compared to the previous year. This was driven by strong growth in Europe (+89 percent) and the USA (+24 percent), despite a decline in China (-34 percent). Volkswagen Group maintained its position as the leading BEV market player in Europe with a market share of approximately 28 percent.

The demand for new models such as VW ID.7 Tourer, CUPRA Terramar, Skoda Elroq, Audi Q6e-tron, and Porsche 911 has been increasing across all drive types. BEV orders saw a notable rise of +62 percent.

In Europe, total deliveries reached 1,971,600 vehicles, marking an increase of 2.0 percent. Growth was observed at 1.0 percent in Western Europe and at 8.5 percent in Central and Eastern Europe. In Germany alone, there was a rise of 1.9 percent.

North American deliveries totaled 461,900 vehicles but experienced a decrease of 6.7 percent compared to last year due to challenges faced particularly in the USA where sales dropped by 8.5%.

South America showed robust growth with an increase of 18.3% totaling up to 302,100 vehicles delivered; Brazil being its primary market saw an increase of +7.4%.

Asia-Pacific recorded a slight decline overall by -1 .3%, largely influenced by competitive pressures within China which led downwards trends here too seeing drops around about two-point-three percentage points lower than expected results previously projected outwards into other regions throughout this area too!

Among individual models: Volkswagen ID series (ID4/ID5) led sales volumes followed closely behind others like Audi Q4 e-Tron Sportback variants alongside Porsche Macan ranges also proving popular among consumers globally!
