UCB has announced an upgrade to its 2025 financial guidance, citing strong performance from its key products and ongoing efforts to streamline its portfolio. The company expects revenue for 2025 to exceed €7.6 billion, representing a 24% increase compared to the previous year.
The improved outlook is attributed to continued growth of products such as RYSTIGGO, ZILBRYSQ, FINTEPLA, and EVENITY. Additionally, BIMZELX has shown notable progress, particularly in treating hidradenitis suppurativa in the U.S., supported by a favorable payer mix.
Underlying profitability, measured as adjusted EBITDA, will benefit from the sale of established brands as part of UCB’s portfolio simplification strategy. Excluding this one-time effect, the company anticipates that its adjusted EBITDA margin for 2025 will be higher than 31%. This improvement is driven by better gross margins, increased operating leverage, and higher earnings contributions from EVENITY.
Looking ahead, UCB acknowledges potential challenges such as the expected loss of exclusivity for BRIVIACT in 2026 and possible changes in net pricing for BIMZELX due to expanded use in the U.S. Despite these factors, UCB maintains its commitment to disciplined execution and long-term growth.
Sandrine Dufour, Chief Financial Officer at UCB, stated: “UCB’s continued growth reflects our unwavering commitment to delivering value for patients and executing our strategic vision. With exceptional commercial performance and remarkable R&D accomplishments, we approach 2026 with confidence and a clear path forward delivering continued growth. Our focus remains on driving sustainable growth while making a profound impact on the lives of those we serve.”
The company plans to release its full-year 2025 results and provide formal financial guidance for 2026 on February 26, 2026.
UCB is a global biopharmaceutical company headquartered in Brussels with approximately 9,000 employees across about 40 countries. In 2024, it reported revenues of €6.1 billion. The company focuses on developing treatments for severe diseases affecting the immune system or central nervous system.
A statement accompanying the announcement cautioned that forward-looking statements are subject to risks and uncertainties that could cause actual results to differ materially from current expectations.
