T-Systems and IPOINT have announced a joint solution designed to help the automotive industry track carbon emissions throughout the supply chain. The offering combines IPOINT’s sustainability software with T-Systems’ access to the Catena-X data ecosystem, allowing manufacturers and suppliers to monitor their products’ carbon footprint globally.
The partnership aims to support companies in complying with the European Union’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), which requires large firms to report on environmental impacts and sustainability efforts. By integrating high-quality product sustainability data with analytics, the system provides users with information that can be used for emission reduction strategies.
Karin Mostler, Chief Business Development Officer at IPOINT, said: “Our collaboration with T-Systems aligns perfectly with our mission to enable truly sustainable business by design. By connecting high-quality Product Sustainability data with intelligent analytics, we give companies the insights they need to measure, improve, and communicate sustainability performance- we call this Impact Intelligence.”
Sven Löffler, Director Data Spaces at T-Systems, stated: “Combining T-Systems’ secure data space capabilities with IPOINT’s proven expertise in sustainability software creates a powerful foundation for digital product sustainability at scale. Together, we help the automotive industry achieve real transparency — from primary data collection to carbon footprint reporting.”
The end-to-end solution is positioned as a tool for companies aiming for greater transparency in their supply chains and improved reporting under EU regulations.
