During the 37th meeting of the Council of Foreign Investors under the President of Kazakhstan, Vitaly Nesis, CEO of Solidcore Resources, met with Olzhas Bektenov, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan. The discussion centered on cooperation in mining and processing precious and non-ferrous metals, energy, and environmental protection.
Vitaly Nesis shared updates on the Ertis Hydrometallurgical Plant construction project in Pavlodar region. Solidcore Resources has invested $978 million in this project. The plant is expected to process up to 300,000 tons of gold-bearing concentrate annually and produce approximately 15 tons of gold in dore alloy each year. This initiative aims to create around 500 new jobs in the region.
The CEO also revealed plans to advance the Syrymbet tin deposit in North Kazakhstan and the Tokhtar gold deposit in Kostanay region. Additionally, efforts are underway to establish an energy cluster at the Varvara field in Kostanay region, which will include solar and gas piston stations along with gas distribution systems. A similar gas piston station is planned for construction at the Kyzyl field in Abai region.
Olzhas Bektenov highlighted the importance of business ventures that focus on increasing production, adopting modern technologies, and protecting the environment. He assured that the government would provide extensive support for these initiatives.
Vitaly Nesis emphasized Kazakhstan’s favorable environment for developing full-cycle companies involved in exploring, producing, and processing metals.
