Siemens eMobility has introduced the SICHARGE Flex, a new electric vehicle (EV) charging system designed for high-power applications. The system is intended to support the growing needs of fleets and charging point operators as the transportation sector shifts toward electrification.
According to Siemens, the SICHARGE Flex offers a flexible and future-proof solution that can be adapted for use in various settings, including public charging stations, bus depots, and logistics hubs. The company states that the system features “industry-leading power density and flexible dispenser options to fit any site.”
The SICHARGE Flex is available with several dispenser configurations. Options include CCS2 uncooled columns capable of delivering 375A (with a peak of 500A), as well as CCS2 liquid-cooled dispensers that provide up to 500A (peak 600A). Cable lengths range from 3 to 9.5 meters, with single or dual gun options. For higher capacity requirements, MCS/CCS2 liquid-cooled dispensers offer up to 1500A (with an optional 800A setting) and can be equipped with both MCS and CCS2 outlets.
Siemens notes that en-route charging with SICHARGE Flex enables charging point operators to set up versatile hubs suitable for cars, trucks, and buses. The company adds that “the flexible assembly options for SICHARGE Flex charging dispensers can electrify virtually every depot,” supporting large fleets of electric trucks through its modular design.
