SAP SE has announced that it is renaming its SAP Emarsys solution to SAP Engagement Cloud. The company says this change reflects a broader strategy to make engagement a core capability across its enterprise software portfolio.
The company was recently included in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Personalization Engines, and with SAP Engagement Cloud, it aims to connect customer insight and operational execution in real time. The platform builds on existing personalization features and now incorporates AI-enabled insights designed to help organizations scale personalized engagement responsibly and efficiently.
SAP also introduced SAP Engagement Cloud, enterprise edition. This new offering provides advanced administration, governance, and content and data control capabilities intended for companies managing multiple brands, regions, or teams.
Joanna Milliken, Head of SAP Engagement Cloud, said: “This approach helps organizations maintain consistency, compliance, and brand standards globally, which is increasingly important in an age of AI decision-making and automation, while also staying responsive to local needs.”
According to the company, large organizations can use the platform to centrally manage engagement roles, permissions, and data while still enabling local teams to carry out relevant interactions. This setup allows engagement strategies to adapt automatically when issues such as inventory shortages or service disruptions arise—without needing manual coordination between separate systems.
Existing features from the SAP Emarsys solution will remain available within SAP Engagement Cloud. Customers are able to adopt new features at their own pace based on their priorities. The enterprise edition of SAP Engagement Cloud will be available starting February 19; further updates will follow according to SAP’s innovation roadmap.
