Prosus Ventures and Accel have jointly led a $4.17 million Pre-Series A funding round in Arivihan, an AI-powered learning platform based in India. GSF Investors also participated in the round. This follows Arivihan’s previous fundraising of $750,000 from Accel Atoms.
Arivihan is positioned as India’s first fully automated AI tutoring platform. The company aims to use the new capital to expand its reach across the country, invest further in AI research, and strengthen its on-ground distribution efforts.
Dhruv Gupta, Investor at Prosus, said, “At Prosus, we’ve been actively exploring breakthrough applications of AI across sectors, and education remains one of the most compelling frontiers. Arivihan stood out as an AI-native learning platform purpose-built for India’s aspirational students, combining deep personalization with scalable impact. Their first-principles approach to product and distribution gives them a real shot at transforming how millions of students learn and succeed.”
Founded by Ritesh Singh Chandel, Sonu Kumar (both IIT Roorkee alumni), and Math educator Rushabh Kothari in 2024, Arivihan provides personalized coaching through interactive video lectures, instant doubt-solving features, and AI-driven study plans. The platform removes the need for live teachers and claims it can scale ten times more effectively than traditional coaching models while reducing costs. This approach targets students in underserved regions by making quality education more accessible.
Ritesh Singh, Co-founder and CEO of Arivihan, stated, “India has 250 million students, yet quality personalized education remains a privilege for few. Traditional coaching models simply cannot scale to serve Bharat’s massive student population at affordable price points. Our AI-first approach doesn’t just make education accessible, but it makes it truly personalized for every student, regardless of their location or economic background. This funding allows us to accelerate our mission of democratizing world-class education across Real Bharat.”
The Indian education sector faces challenges related to large class sizes and low teacher-to-student ratios—often less than 1:200—which results in standardized teaching methods that do not address individual needs. Personalized tutoring is seen as critical for improving outcomes since many students rely on excelling at standardized tests for financial mobility.
Arivihan serves students preparing for State Board exams, CBSE exams, and NEET with a focus on Class 12 learners from Tier 2+, Tier 3 cities, and rural areas. The company plans to expand its academic team by hiring experienced NEET faculty as well as increasing staff across product development, marketing, and engineering.
According to data provided by Arivihan, students using the platform showed a 42% improvement in performance within 30 days. More than 150 students scored above 90% in their Class 12 Board exams; four achieved Top 10 state merit list positions. Of these high-performing students, 80% were from Tier 3 cities or rural regions.
Looking ahead, Arivihan will continue developing its go-to-market strategy by building local distribution networks in new regions and expanding digital marketing efforts to reach more students nationwide.
