Deutsche Telekom is consolidating its cloud services under the new T Cloud umbrella, with Lars Neumann taking on Group-wide responsibility starting July 1, 2025. Neumann will oversee sales, implementation, and development of the cloud offerings across Deutsche Telekom’s B2B division. This move aims to streamline cloud solutions for business customers, allowing them to customize their own offerings from a comprehensive portfolio.
T Cloud is a joint effort by Telekom Deutschland and T-Systems to provide all cloud solutions from a single source. The initiative responds to the demand for sovereign solutions in Europe and offers both public and private cloud options. Customers are promised secure, scalable, and stable solutions that comply with European law.
Ferri Abolhassan, CEO of T-Systems and member of the Deutsche Telekom Board of Management, emphasized that T Cloud provides “tailor-made solutions ‘Made in Germany'” to facilitate digital transformation while strengthening Europe’s sovereignty in the cloud market. Rodrigo Diehl, CEO of Telekom Deutschland and also on the Deutsche Telekom Board of Management, highlighted that T Cloud combines expertise across the entire group for maximum security and availability.
Neumann has over 15 years of experience in cloud services globally. He joined Deutsche Telekom in 2008 after working at Bertelsmann and an international IT outsourcing company based in the USA. Since 2022, he has led the Solution Business Unit at Deutsche Telekom.
The consolidation reflects Deutsche Telekom’s strategy to position its cloud business as a central pillar within its business customer segment amidst growing geopolitical concerns about sovereignty.
