The Korean National Police Agency has ordered an Airbus H225 helicopter, marking its first purchase from Airbus. The new helicopter will be used for a variety of public service missions, including law enforcement and counter-terrorism operations. It will also support search and rescue, humanitarian relief, and disaster response efforts.

Vincent Dubrule, Head of Asia-Pacific at Airbus Helicopters, stated: “We are honoured to welcome the Korean National Police Agency to the Airbus family. The H225 has earned a global reputation as a reliable, multi-mission workhorse. We are confident it will become a cornerstone asset for the police agency, enabling them to carry out complex missions with precision and safety.”

The H225 is part of the Super Puma family and is known for its performance in difficult conditions as well as its range and payload capacity. Its advanced avionics and autopilot systems are designed to improve safety while making operations easier for pilots.

Globally, there are more than 360 H225s and H225Ms in operation with nearly 980,000 flight hours logged. Military users include countries such as Brazil, France, Hungary, Indonesia, Iraq, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Singapore, and Thailand.
