Ignitis Group has revised its Code of Ethics and Conduct, aiming to reinforce ethical standards and responsible behavior throughout the organization. The updated document outlines the principles that guide daily operations, internal collaboration, and relationships with partners and stakeholders.

According to the company, the update was necessary due to changes in the international business environment and growing expectations from various groups such as investors and regulatory agencies. The revision ensures that the code remains relevant, aligns with best governance practices, and is practical for employees.

Several key changes have been introduced. The title now reflects a broader scope by combining ethical principles with standards of conduct into one document. The code applies to all employees as well as management and supervisory bodies within Ignitis Group. It also emphasizes adherence to these principles when working with external partners.

The compliance framework has been strengthened to align with both international regulations and internal policies. A new section addresses artificial intelligence ethics, focusing on responsible technology use and transparent decision-making processes.

The structure of the document has been reorganized for clarity and ease of use. Measures for implementation and compliance monitoring have been enhanced across the group. Additionally, mandatory training on ethics will replace scenario-based examples, targeting real-life situations faced by staff members.

“Ignitis Group” stated: “The updated Code clearly establishes the value-based foundation that we rely on when making decisions, responding to complex situations, and defining the limits of responsibility. It aims to further strengthen a culture of responsible, transparent, and respectful behaviour across the Group and ensure consistent application of ethical principles in practice.”

“The updated Code reflects the Group’s maturity, values and long-term commitment to act responsibly, transparently and ethically, ensuring consistent application of conduct standards across all areas of activity,” according to an official statement from Ignitis Group.
