Ferrari starts strong at Le Mans as AF Corse climbs positions

At the 93rd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Ferrari’s official team, AF Corse, had a promising start. After two hours of racing, their two cars were positioned in second and ninth place. The number 50 car, driven by Nicklas Nielsen, advanced from seventh to second place. Meanwhile, James Calado in the number 51 car moved up from eleventh to ninth.

The race began at 4 p.m., with an air temperature of 21.9°C and a track temperature of 27.7°C. The Maranello manufacturer’s vehicles showed strong performance early on, closing the gap with competitors.

Nicklas Nielsen made significant progress by reducing the time difference with the leading number 5 Porsche. In another effort for Ferrari, Phil Hanson was driving the third entry for AF Corse in car number 83 and started from thirteenth position.
