EDP has announced the opening of applications for SheMentors, a global mentorship program aimed at supporting students and young professionals in the early stages of their careers. The initiative is led by female professionals from EDP and seeks to promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within the company.

The six-month program will include one-on-one mentoring sessions as well as global workshops available in hybrid or remote formats. It begins on October 10 and will conclude on International Women’s Day. Participants will have opportunities to learn from EDP women across various nationalities and business areas, gaining insights into professional development and career progression.

“At EDP, we believe inclusion begins with real opportunities. We understand that the first steps in a career can be challenging, which is why we created this program — to offer guidance, inspiration, and real leadership role models. By integrating female mentorship into this global initiative, we reinforce our commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, while also recognizing the talent of our professionals and supporting the next generation in building their future,” says Paula Carneiro, Head of People & Organization at EDP.

The SheMentors program is open to students of any gender as well as recent graduates and young professionals with up to three years of experience. Applicants are expected to have basic digital skills since activities will be conducted remotely or in hybrid mode. Proficiency in English, Portuguese, or Spanish is required for full participation.

SheMentors forms part of EDP’s new Gender Equality Plan for 2025–2026. This plan includes several actions designed to improve gender balance throughout the organization and accelerate inclusion efforts within the energy sector.

Applications are being accepted until October 1.
