EDP and Heineken are set to collaborate once again at the NOS Alive festival, taking place from July 10th to 12th in Lisbon. This partnership aims to promote renewable energy by serving beer powered by solar energy. The event will feature over 100 solar panels installed by EDP Comercial across various Heineken brand spaces, including bars and stands.

The installation includes bifacial solar panels with a power capacity of 70 kWp, designed to absorb energy from both sides for greater efficiency. Additionally, four batteries will store excess energy produced during the day, ensuring that the bars remain lit with clean energy throughout the night. This initiative is expected to significantly reduce the carbon footprint of the festival.

The collaboration between EDP and Heineken seeks to minimize environmental impact by utilizing available spaces for small solar plants. In 2024, a similar effort saw all draft beers at the Heineken Central Bar powered entirely by solar energy.

EDP emphasizes its role as a leader in the energy transition, focusing on innovative solutions for decarbonization. Through this partnership with Heineken, EDP reaffirms its dedication to fostering a sustainable future.
