Deutsche Telekom has introduced an expanded 5G+ Gaming service in partnership with NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW cloud gaming platform. The new offer, available exclusively through the MeinMagenta app starting December 9, provides Telekom customers in Germany with three months of free access to the GeForce NOW Performance membership, valued at 33 euros, as part of the Magenta Moments loyalty program.
“With our new Magenta Moments offering, we combine our key strengths: delivering a unique mobile cloud-gaming experience on the best network. Thanks to the strong collaboration integrating NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW platform and Telekom, gamers can enjoy a high-performance and smooth gaming experience on the go in Germany’s largest 5G+ network,” said Axel Orbach, Managing Director, Private Customers at Telekom Deutschland.
Richard Lamond, Director of GeForce NOW at NVIDIA, added: “With the integration of GeForce NOW’s advanced RTX cloud platform with Telekom’s 5G+ network, mobile gamers in Germany can experience seamless, high-definition play and instant responsiveness — transforming how and where people game across the country.”
The collaboration leverages Deutsche Telekom’s 5G Standalone technology combined with a dedicated network slice for gaming and L4S (Low Latency, Low Loss, Scalable Throughput) technology. This setup identifies congestion early and manages data streams to keep latency and jitter low even during heavy usage periods. Deutsche Telekom is now the first European operator to enable latency-optimized mobile gaming for GeForce NOW using this approach.
Customers with current MagentaMobil plans (from August 2024 onward) and compatible devices—including Samsung S24 series and Fold 7 models—can use the service at launch. Additional device support is planned soon. Android users can download the GeForce NOW app from Google Play Store. The promotional offer runs until December 23, 2025.
GeForce NOW enables streaming of over 2,300 Ready-to-Play titles from platforms like Steam and Epic Games directly from cloud-based RTX systems. It also supports more than 2,500 Install-to-Play games as well as popular free titles such as Fortnite and Overwatch 2. Members can play previously purchased games without downloads or updates; progress syncs automatically across devices.
Deutsche Telekom launched its latency-optimized mobile cloud gaming service in autumn 2024 and claims to be the first operator worldwide to provide consumer-facing 5G network slicing for this purpose. The company states that its 5G+ network now covers approximately 99% of Germany’s population, positioning it among Europe’s leading operators by coverage size.
Deutsche Telekom continues to invest several billion euros annually into expanding its networks.
