Deutsche Telekom has announced a strategic partnership with Quantum Systems, a company specializing in autonomous surveillance drones. The collaboration aims to develop solutions focused on protecting critical infrastructure. The partnership will combine Quantum Systems’ drone technology with Deutsche Telekom’s expertise in intelligent platforms, connectivity, and system integration.
“With Quantum Systems, we have a strong partner at our side – with the common goal of making Germany safer. We respond to threats from abroad and at home and provide our government agencies and corporate customers with state-of-the-art technology, especially for the protection of critical infrastructure,” said Ferri Abolhassan, Member of the Board of Management for T-Systems at Deutsche Telekom.
Sven Kruck, Co-CEO of Quantum Systems, stated: “We already have a strong presence in the military sector. Deutsche Telekom is the ideal partner for increasing the use of our proven technologies in the non-military sector. Together we are tapping into new customers and use cases.”
The investment in Quantum Systems was made through T.Capital’s Tech Fund, which has 2 billion euros dedicated to technology investments. This fund supports companies working in areas such as artificial intelligence, cyber security, cloud computing, internet of things, and defense technology.
Funds from this investment will be used to further develop and commercialize commercial applications for Quantum Systems’ technologies. The focus will be on improving protection for critical infrastructure within Germany and Europe.
Deutsche Telekom notes that this announcement contains forward-looking statements regarding its expectations for future developments. These statements are subject to risks and uncertainties that could cause actual results to differ from current projections.
