ANA Holdings has confirmed an order with Airbus for 24 A321neo and three A321XLR aircraft. This agreement was finalized at the Paris Air Show 2025, where Koji Shibata, Representative Director, President and CEO of ANAHD, and Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus EVP Sales of the Commercial Aircraft business, participated in a signing ceremony.

The order includes 14 additional A321neo aircraft for All Nippon Airways (ANA) and 10 A321neo along with three A321XLR for Peach Aviation. This will upgrade the group’s current fleet. Notably, Peach Aviation will become the first Japanese airline to operate the A321XLR, which offers a range of up to 4,700 nautical miles or 8,700 kilometers non-stop.

Koji Shibata expressed satisfaction with the deal: “We are delighted to have signed the firm order for the introduction of additional A321neo and first A321XLR into our group airlines. We believe that this additional introduction of Airbus aircraft will further deepen our relationship.” He emphasized that these aircraft would help improve service quality while reducing CO₂ emissions.

Benoît de Saint-Exupéry commented on ANA’s longstanding partnership with Airbus: “From its first order in 1987 to an order book now approaching 100 aircraft, ANA has been a long-standing customer for the A320 Family. The exciting addition of the A321XLR for Peach Aviation further underscores ANA’s innovative spirit and trust in the A320 Family’s unrivaled capabilities.”

Currently, ANA operates 33 aircraft from the A320 Family while Peach Aviation operates 36. The new additions from this order are part of the larger family of single-aisle aircraft known as the A320neo Family. These incorporate technologies such as new generation engines and Sharklets that contribute to over 20% fuel savings compared to previous models.

The A321XLR provides flexibility similar to widebody planes but uses 30% less fuel per seat than older competitor models. Its new Airspace cabin aims to enhance passenger comfort during long flights.

Globally, more than 7,000 units of the A321neo have been ordered by over 90 customers.
