Air Côte d’Ivoire has received its first Airbus A330-900, marking the introduction of a widebody aircraft to its fleet. The delivery took place in Toulouse, France, and is part of an order for two such aircraft.
The new A330neo will support Air Côte d’Ivoire’s plans to expand international routes, starting with Paris and later extending to destinations in the Middle East and North America. The aircraft is configured with four classes: First (four seats), Business (44 seats), Premium Economy (21 seats), and Economy (173 seats). Air Côte d’Ivoire currently serves 22 destinations across West and Central Africa.
During the delivery flight from Toulouse to Abidjan, the airline transported five tonnes of humanitarian supplies, including materials and school items. This was coordinated by the Airbus Foundation in partnership with Aviation Sans Frontières. Donations were distributed to local NGOs LifeShine and la Bienfaisance for health and education projects in Abidjan.
The A330neo includes the Airspace cabin design, offering more space, larger overhead bins, updated lighting, and advanced entertainment systems. According to Airbus, as of July 2025, over 1,920 firm orders for A330 Family aircraft have been placed by more than 130 customers worldwide. The A330neo can operate on up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), with Airbus aiming for full SAF capability by 2030.
